Being tired is normal. In fact, statistics show that one-third of teens and adults feel fatigued. Why? Simply because we all have work, school, family, friends, and errands to prioritize.
Fatigue is a common symptom of most illnesses, but most of the time, fatigue comes from our daily lives. We get tired because of our jobs, classes, and errands, these are things that make up our everyday lives. We juggle too many tasks at a time that we forget to relax and clear our minds.
In order for you to live a more stress-free life, we have come up with a few overlooked reasons that may be potential reasons why you are always tired.
An inactive lifestyle
Living an inactive lifestyle may be the reason why you’re exhausted all the time. Most people say that they are too tired to be physically active. But little did they know that exercising can result in boosted energy levels and happier life!
Spare at least 30 minutes a day to go out and jog. Breathe fresh air and get your heart pumping and your blood flowing, then it won’t be long before your body releases endorphins, or what we like to call “happy hormones.” Regularly doing this can help lessen or completely eradicate the feeling of exhaustion.
Not getting enough sleep
Sleeping too late and getting up too early are the most popular reasons that cause fatigue. After a sleep-filled night, you should feel refreshed and energized. When you sleep, your body starts replenishing your energy levels, metabolism, hormones, and regenerating new cells . For this reason, it is essential to get 7 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep to be well-rested and less tired.
Set a timer every night to remind you that it is time for bed. Set your bedroom into a relaxing spot for you to be able to full relax and be in the mood for sleeping.
Being dehydrated
Drink your water! Your body releases fluids every day by urinating, sweating, crying, — and even breathing. This is why we need to hydrate regularly to replace the liquid that we are losing. The most common symptoms of dehydration are fatigue, dizziness, and headaches. The goal should be to drink enough water to keep us hydrated and energized and drop your caffeinated drinks as much as possible– never replace water with coffee!
You are working too much
You are drained. Your mind and body are tired from working all day and night. Don’t be too hard on yourself! Get up, manage your tasks and unload yourself by delegating your tasks to other professionals instead of stressing yourself out! Burnout is real and once you are hit by it, you will feel demotivated to work, causing you to quit and fail.
